This selection curated by Gloria Franco, highlights the originality of each artist, each of them from different backgrounds and cultures.

The Challenge artists

A same subject can be interpreted so differently by each artist.

Meet The G&Silk Featured Artists

Sarah Thorpe New Zealand

Sarah is a certified surface pattern designer born in the UK and now living in New Zealand with her family. Her hand-painted designs are inspired by her love of antique and vintage florals from all over the world. Texture also plays a part in many of her designs adding depth and creating an interesting fusion of rustic textures and beautiful florals. Here she is presenting very original cashmere scarves, created in collaboration with Gloria Franco.

Vivian Hasenclever Luxembourg

Vivian is a freelance surface pattern designer, working from home.  Since 2018 she has been creating simple, bold and colourful prints with a hand-drawn feel. All patterns start as a sketch or paper collage before being drawn digitally in Adobe Illustrator. I love her fresh, joyful and lighthearted designs. The kind of vibe that G&Silk wants to spread.
