Sam Merrill UK
Graphic designer Sam Merrill (Fortyvenus) is based in London, UK. Her rich, dark patterns have intriguingly woven stories within their Art Deco/Nouveau-influenced motifs. Her work is inspired by an elegant bygone era: magnificent British architecture, luxury steam train journeys from The Golden Age of Travel, and a deadly poisonous plant collection inspired by the Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie. A perfect combination for our Pocket Duos.

Sarah Thorpe New Zealand
Sarah is a certified surface pattern designer born in the UK and now living in New Zealand with her family. Her hand-painted designs are inspired by her love of antique and vintage florals from all over the world. Texture also plays a part in many of her designs adding depth and creating an interesting fusion of rustic textures and beautiful florals. Here she is presenting very original cashmere scarves, created in collaboration with Gloria Franco.

Eloise Short Australia
Eloise is a Surface Designer, Artist and Illustrator. After a childhood drawing and painting, she channelled this passion into a career in Art and Surface Design. She creates patterns and illustrations for a wide range of companies and products from her home studio at the Blue Mountains National Park, Australia, where she lives with her family. A place so inspiring, her work often features, Australian native flora and fauna.

Lolabek Studio New York
Lola Kamalova is half of this freelance creative duo Illustrators and Surface Designers based in NYC. Their designs are truly inspired by their love for Western art deco designs, deep passion for the mystery of Eastern metaphorical patterns, and by exploring natural forms in Mother Nature. They are very much interested in Noah Art, Kabuki plays and costumes. Their motto is "Live a life like a single flower. Live life in full bloom".

Claudia Saller Brasil
Claudia lives in São Paulo, a large metropolis, but keeps her look always on nature, horizons, birds, flora and the small beauties of daily life. Her works transits in a variety of creative media, from graphic design to painting, where she founded from an early age, space to command a party of creation, with flower and mandala themes. Her pattern design is the expression of her Brazilian essence: colourful, youthful and vibrant. She is also a poetry lover.

Karolina Kinga Sato Japan
Karolina Kinga Sato (Karolinko), b. Poland is an artist and surface designer based in Tokyo. She works in traditional Japanese painting "Nihonga".
She is interested in cultural anthropology and studies popular motifs representing nature, their meaning, and how we relate to them.

Gunangi Nayar India
Gunangi is based in New Delhi, India. Her interest in design started at an early age , exploring patterns and compositions around her, brings her immense joy and satisfaction. She considers nature to be her biggest source of inspiration and loves to experiment with shapes and colours as a reflection of her creativity. Her pocket square designs are unique and incredibly original.
